Blue crabs steamed in beer

Spending August at the sea side is always great, and the only dish I always cook this time of the year is the beer steamed crabs.
I've done it quite few times, and is always great. All you need for this recipe is a dozen of blue crabs or any other hard shelled crab, 5 bottles of beer (lager or pilsner),1 medium sized onion cut in half. a bunch of parsley, 5 cloves of chopped garlic, sea salt and pepper.
In a large pot brings the beers to boil along with the chopped garlic, parsley, pepper and onion then add the crabs. Let them simmer together at the small flame for about 12 minutes. Remove the pot from the stove, cover it up, let it stay for few minutes, open a bottle of nice vino, in our case a Dr.Hayden Riesling 2007, then enjoy it with your friends!
This is a nice and easy summer recipe, that everyone can make it!

Buon apetito!
